CHARACTER PROFILES

Consider these mini shrines dedicated to my favorite Sonic characters.

SHADOW THE HEDGEHOG

Shadow was created by Dr. Robotnik's grandfather, Gerald Robotnik, as the Ultimate Lifeform. Specifically, Shadow was created to help develop cures for deadly incurable diseases, like the one ailing Gerald's granddaughter, Maria Robotnik. Maria was like a sister to Shadow, having grown up together on the Space Colony ARK. After Maria was killed during a government raid, Shadow was traumatized and became resentful of humanity.

Shadow's red highlights are inspired by Kabuki makeup
According to Shadow the Hedgehog (2005), Shadow is a half-hedgehog half-alien (Black Arms) hybrid
Shadow is one of former writer Shiro Maekawa's favorite characters. Maekawa helped create Shadow alongside Takashi Iizuka.
Shadow was meant to die at the end of Sonic Adventure 2 but was brought back in Sonic Heroes due to fan reception

MILES "TAILS" PROWER

Tails is an intelligent young fox with a knack for machinery. Growing up, Tails was bullied for having two tails. He was inspired by Sonic to be more confident in himself, learning to uses his tails to his advantage. With his tails, he's able to propel himself off the ground and reach new heights.
